Founded in 1982, VDI has been at the forefront of designing, developing and integrating custom solutions for Broadcast Facilities, Briefing and Display Systems, Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and Command and Control environments.
Our earliest clientele included George Mason University, Home Team Sports and Black Entertainment Television. After successfully building multiple broadcast facilities, we shifted our focus to fully integrated AV systems supporting the Department of War (DoW) and other Government Agencies.
With the rise of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) and a growing Government customer base, VDI became the de facto standard for multi-domain systems.
In the early 2000s, VDI partnered with the DoW to deploy over one hundred mobile VTC units in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
As AV and Information Technology converged, VDI expanded its technical expertise. We integrated routing and switching for AV, IP streaming and full digital transports, ensuring our solutions remained current and effective.
